UPDATING YOUR EVACUATION TRANSPORTATION INFO SYSTEM (ETIS)  ROAD NETWORK DESCRIPTION FILE (ETISTABL.DAT)

Although the ETISTABL.DAT  file is included with your Hurrevac2000 installation or update,   it may later, from time to time, need to be edited, to add roads or make corrections as necessary.

When this is done,  an email will be sent to all registered users,  telling them of the need to update their  ETISTABL.DAT file.

Also, Hurrevac2000 (Version 2.0.17 and higher) will check the size of your ETISTABL.DAT file and compare it with the latest on the hurrevac.com site.   If they are not the same,  a message to this effect will be displayed when you call up the options under the Traffic menu in Hurrevac2000...and a reference to this web page will be made.

UPDATING YOUR ETIS ROAD NETWORK DESCRIPTION FILE -
Print this file out first and follow the instructions carefully!!

STEP 1 - FIND THE FILE YOU NEED
When doing this step,  you will be asked for a name and password...use the confidential name and password you were given previously to download Hurrevac2000 .    Remember,  case of the name and password is important.

Using your  internet browser call up this  URL : http://www.hurrevac2.com/private/etis.

Once you are in the private/etis/  directory, using your browser, there will be a file called ETISTABL.DAT.

STEP 2 - DOWNLOAD TO A SPECIFIC LOCATION -
To download, right-click on the file name and select Save File As... or Save Link As...(depending on browser) then MAKE SURE you save it in your Hurrevac2000 program's subdirectory called \etis   (example \Program Files\Hurrevac2000\etis\ )

The ETISTABL.DAT  file  MUST be downloaded to the \etis subdirectory to work!

STEP 3 - CHECK FILE OUT
Restart Hurrevac2000...

Check your download profile under the File | Internet Download | Download Profile option and make sure that the ETIS option box (at bottom of panel) is selected.    Then  click on the DATA icon to autodownload the latest traffic data file.  In the traffic data file is information containing the correct file size for ETISTABL.DAT.

Run the ETIS Plot under the Traffic main menu item.   You may get a notice that the traffic data file (latest.trf) is not current.  That is normal, since the data will only be current when under a multi-state Category 3 or higher threat.    But if a second panel appears, stating that your ETISTABL.DAT is not the latest one,  then you will need to re-check the above procedures to make sure they were followed (including a re-start of Hurrevac2000 if it was running during the above steps).

If all else fails, give us a call at 843-881-0593 and we will help you with this.
