TECH NOTE #1 - STATE-SPECIFIC EVACUATION DATA FILE PLUG-INS - These files are needed on your system before you can utilize the Evacuation Timing rountines in Hurrevac2000. Instructions on how to download and set up on your system.

TECH NOTE #2 - STATE-SPECIFIC INUNDATION GRAPHICS PLUG-INS - If your area previously had a DOS HURREVAC program with interactive Inundation Graphics, these have been converted for use in HurWin95. This explains how to download and setup on your system.

TECH NOTE #3 - STORM SURGE INUNDATION GIS POSSIBILITIES AND HOW TO INCORPORATE INTO HURREVAC - If your state or area did not have a DOS HURREVAC program with Inundation Graphics, and therefore do not have any maps to use on your system....here are some suggestions for a GIS approach that will integrate with Hurrevac2000.

TECH NOTE #4 - MAKING YOUR CUSTOM INUNDATION MAPS USABLE WITHIN HURREVAC2000 (RASTER GRAPHICS ONLY). If you have some custom maps (Inundation, EvacZone, Transportation Routes, etc) in any of several raster formats (.bmp, pcx, etc.) you can incorporate them into your HURREVAC2000 program and display them/ page through them with the Raster Viewer.

TECH NOTE #5 - INSTALLING HURREVAC2000 ON A NETWORK - some suggestions to avoid problems.

TECH NOTE #6 - INSTALLATION PROBLEMS ON OLDER WIN95 SYSTEMS AND OTHER INSTALLATION ISSUES

TECH NOTE #8 - PROBLEMS WITH OVERPRINTING OF DISPLAY LEGENDS. Also problem of Hurrevac2000 display too large for screen. This is a display resolution problem and is easily solved.

TECH NOTE #10 - INTERNET DOWNLOAD BY FTP: FIREWALL AND FTP PROXY SERVER ISSUES -if you are on a dedicated connection to the Internet at your office, and the Internet Download option in Hurrevac2000 does not connect with the hurrevac.com FTP server, it may be a firewall or FTP Proxy Server problem. These are some possible solutions.

TECH NOTE #12 - EVACUATION TRANSPORTATION INFO SYSTEM (ETIS) ROAD NETWORK DESCRIPTION FILES - your system must have the latest ETIS Road Network description file (ETISTABL.DAT) to correctly display ETIS data when available. (Note- ETIS data is currently only available when a Cat 3 or higher storm is threatening multiple states, and a multiple state evacuation is underway or imminent). This file is provided with the Hurrevac2000 installation or upgrades (Version 2.0.17 and higher), but could change thereafter with the addition of roads to the network.
